Babyassface Blog

My grandmother used to sleep with cardboard taped to her face, so the sheets wouldn’t cause wrinkles. That's the stock I come from.

Babyassface was born out out of this, apparently genetic, obsession with anti-aging skincare products. 

This blog created an online community and helped start a dialogue between smart, funny women, who were tired of beauty magazines telling them how to look and act. 

In the sole year that I wrote for Babyassface, it appeared in the Bellasugar "Lovely Links" section  (multi-million visitors monthly) over 40 times.

It was also featured in Bust magazine and I quote, "There are a million beauty blogs, but only one has me snorting at its snark: Babyassface.com."

Batch # Skincare Line

One day, I read an article about how to make your own aromatherapy bath products. I tried it. I loved it.

Thus Batch # was born.

All-natural bath oils and sheets sprays evolved into more and more elaborate products: Granoliant Exfoliant, a body scrub made with real granola, Honey Body Glaze, a body moisturizer, in which you used a basting brush to glaze yourself like an Easter ham, and for the gentlemen, Homme Boy, after shave.  

Batch # was featured in rooms at the Giraffe Hotel in NYC and was also sold at the Jivamukti Yoga Center, as well as on the Batch # website.

Batch # was also featured in Organic Style magazine.

This is a cautionary tale about a superficial woman, who learns the hard way, that it's what's on the inside that counts. 

Big Tiger, Little Tiger

Tigers are on the verge of extinction. Fifteen million homeless cats are killed in shelters every year.

This book compares and contrasts these two distant relatives, celebrating each cat's majesty and prowess.  (Even if for one, prowess means stalking slippers.)

Otters - Court Jesters of the Sea

This cartoon was designed to teach kids about endangered species in an entertaining way. It was our hope, that as these kids grew up, they'd concern themselves with helping to protect these species and their environments. All part of the left-wing propaganda machine.
